How does the UVC work?

  • Ultraviolet (UV) light destroys the nucleic acids – DNA and RNA of the microbes, virus and bacteria and forms unstable chemical bonds which prevent the microbes from replicating further. This damages the DNA or RNA and the accumulation of damaged DNA causes the death of the microbes.
  • Caution – Keep away from direct exposure to skin and eyes.
