Furniture built around small hands and small groups
Ryan Schools' kindergarten programme leans heavily on hands-on activity — puzzles, building blocks and shared tasks done in small groups rather than individually at a desk. The furniture needed to encourage exactly that kind of clustering.
The brief called for tables shaped to naturally seat four to five children facing each other, built low enough for easy access and sturdy enough to survive years of enthusiastic use.
What they needed
- Uniquely shaped tables that naturally group 4–5 children together
- Child-height seating with stable, tip-safe frames
- Rounded, splinter-free edges safe for young children
- Bright, durable finishes that held up to daily hands-on activity

Popcorn Furniture designed a distinctively shaped group activity table with matching child-height chairs, manufactured in-house to BIS child-safety standards with rounded edges and scratch-resistant tops built for daily use.
