A dedicated space for movement, not just a spare classroom

DPS Schools wanted a purpose-built indoor space where early years students could climb, slide and play safely, regardless of the weather outside — not a repurposed classroom with a few mats thrown down.

The room needed to double as a learning environment too, with a world-map rug and visual elements that quietly reinforced geography and shapes even during free play.

What they needed

• Wooden climbing structures and a slide suited to ages 3–7
• Soft, impact-absorbent flooring across the whole activity area
• Durable materials that would hold up to years of daily climbing
• A room that blended learning cues into free-play time

Popcorn Furniture designed a wooden climbing structure with an integrated slide, cushioned mat flooring and a themed world-map rug, manufactured in-house to BIS safety standards with rounded edges and non-toxic finishes.
